The Cheongsam Experience

The cheongsam experience is personal and not rushed. You’ll be invited to try on a curated selection of handmade cheongsams, ranging from classic Hong Kong styles to ceremonial and wedding pieces. Before the session, we’ll meet for a fitting, where I’ll help select a dress that suits your vision and make any necessary adjustments.

During the shoot, I’ll gently guide you through movement and posing so the elegance, strength and quiet beauty of the cheongsam can naturally unfold. This experience is about more than wearing a garment — it’s about embodying its grace. Every woman deserves the chance to experience that timeless beauty in her own way.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. I guide clients on outfits, themes and locations so the session feels cohesive, natural and aligned with who you are.

  • Most clients feel this way at first. I’ll give gentle direction throughout the session so you can relax into it — nothing stiff or forced.

  • A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your date.
    The remaining balance is due at the end of the session.

  • I serve Metro Vancouver, travel fee within the area is included. Parking fees, studio rentals or permits are not included.

    Destination or out-of-area sessions are available with additional considerations.

  • All images are professionally edited for color, exposure, and overall tone. Minor blemishes may be removed, but I do not alter body shape or apply heavy skin retouching.

  • No. You’ll receive high-resolution, professionally edited JPEG files (300 ppi).

  • Sessions:
    sneak peek in ~2 weeks, final online gallery in 4–8 weeks.
    Weddings:
    sneak peek in ~4 weeks, final online gallery in 8–16 weeks, depending on season and coverage.

  • Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to weather at no extra charge. Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

  • For sessions, it’s just me. For wedding packages, a second photographer is included.

  • I retain the copyright to all images. Clients are free to use their photos for personal use.
